Style With Images

One of the best ways to add depth and “pop” to your site is through stylish imagery that is bright, colorful, and attracts attention to the people viewing it. When considering what imagery you should choose for your website, there are a few things to keep in mind that will help.

Make sure that your image communicates what you want. For example, if you are creating a site for an event promotion company you don’t want to choose images of people around a board room. You want your images to show people that are having fun at an event. If you can get images taken of past events, that’s even better.

Save the original image. When using any images found on print material, such as brochures, PowerPoint, word documents, etc. You want to make sure that you save the original image. This way you will have it for any future needs. Having the original image also makes it easier for your design team to add them into the website.

Be mindful of copyright! In our modern web connected world, it’s super easy to find thousands of images to use. Before you use one, make sure that you have the rights to reuse those images. We suggest either using photography specifically taken for your organization or using a stock image provider.

Make sure you have the right size image. Be mindful of the size of image and how it will re-size. Often you may find an image that you want to use but it may be too large for a certain area of the design. Always check with your design team and trust them to re-size the image to keep the integrity and make sure your site looks the best it can.

Don’t be afraid of using images to add color and brighten up your site. Just make sure that you work closely with your design team on the images that you pick. We are professionals and will be able to tell you if an image will work well or not. We will also always give you the freedom of picking whatever images you want for your site. After all, you know your industry best.
